New film Christmas Day

Happy Holidays UFS fans!  We’ve got a present for you, coming Christmas Day (12/25) to Regal Cherrydale cinemas.

The King’s Speech is the latest Oscar contender starring last year’s top thesp Colin Firth.  The story follows King George VI as he builds a relationship with a famed Aussie speech therapist (Geoffrey Rush) in order to command a voice powerful enough to lead his nation to war.

New film arrives 12/17

Hey there UFS followers!  We’ve got a gripping entry for the Upstate film cannon starting this Friday, 12/17.  Fans of Polanski’s Repulsion should check out Black Swan, the new psychological thriller from indie auteur Darren Aronofsky.  Set against the NYC ballet scene, the story follows a troubled young woman as she slowly begins to unravel when faced with rivalries, betrayals, and ultimately psychosis while rehearsing for a starring role in Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake.

New film for Fri 12/10

Hey there film fans!  The UFS has got another indie coming to Cherrydale cinemas, starting Friday 12/10.

Tamara Drewe, a romantic comedy from prolific Brit director Stephen Frears, is based on a graphic novel series of the same name.  The story follows the titular character as she returns to her hometown after many years, only to discover that she’s not the only one who has changed.

The trilogy concludes 12/3

Hey filmies!  We’ve got a new film coming to town Friday 12/3.  The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest is the third and final entry in the Millennium trilogy, and it’s coming exclusively to Cherrydale cinemas.
